    Condition:
  • The set is still complete as gifted on April 12, 1899 by the Goulds and all but one piece is monogrammed, that one piece is the small sugar tongs with gold wash bird form feet. This set is historically described in full in a newspaper article shortly after the April 12, 1899 wedding identifying as having been presented by Mr. and Mrs. George J Gould of New York.
The majority of this set is marked for the Edward Moore period (1873-1891) with the exception of the small dessert knives which are marked for the Charles Tiffany period (1892-1902). Each 15 piece place setting includes 2 luncheon knives and two luncheon forks for each place. Most of the demitasse spoons still have some of the original green string wrapping so likely have never been used.
Sizes of all the pieces vary.

The set includes twelve of each: dinner knives, dinner forks, teaspoons, dessert knives, demitasse spoons with gold wash, oval soup spoons, circular soup spoons, sherbet spoons with gold wash, butter knives, cocktail forks, salad forks with gold wash, along with twenty-four luncheon knives and luncheon forks.
Serving pieces include the large ladle with swirl design, two small ladles with swirl design, large stuffing spoon, two serving spoons, four small serving spoons, salad set with gold wash bowls, large fish server with design to blade, large serving fork, cold meat fork with scale design, sugar tongs with gold wash bird feet, two master butter knives, four condiment spoons with gold wash, two condiment ladles with gold wash, slotted serving spoon, spinach fork and two strawberry forks.
