MARRIAGE PLATE OF SIR HENRY HARDINGE SAMUEL CUNYNGHAME AND EMILY HARRIETTE
England, late 19th century, enamel copper plate. Front of plate with text reading H. Cunynghame July 8, 1848 (date of birth) and Emily Harriette June 29, 1857 (date of birth) encircle profile of likely Emily Harriette along with date 1898. The underside reads: "June 21, 1893 Hurlingham Lodge Fulham married." and "May 1894 - 36 Eaton Place. Sep. 1896 Home Office." with the initials HC to the center.

Sir Henry Hardinge Samuel Cunynghame: Born July 8, 1848, a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, Assistant Under-Secretary, Home Office, married Emily Harriette 1893. Went to Wellington College, received M.A. from St. John's College, Cambridge. Entered Woolwich R.M. Academy and received Pollock Medal and sword merit in 1866. Published works on electric lighting, patent law, political economy, and enameling.

If arrangements for shipping have not been made and communicated within thirty (30) days, Selkirk reserves the right, at this time, to charge a storage fee of $10 per lot per day for furniture and large format items and $5 per lot per day for all other items, and within sixty (60) days, at its own discretion, sell any items left on the premises. Accumulated fees resulting from storage and insurance cost will be taken out of any proceeds.

It is the buyer's responsibility to be aware of all applicable laws and regulations and to obtain any required export or import licenses or certificates and any other required documentation.
