BID

You can trust, as a buyer, that we are working hard to bring you a fine selection of high quality art, antiques and bespoke collectibles sourced from collections located throughout the United States.

Whether browsing our auctions by individual lot view online, by flipping through our state of the art digital catalog, by reviewing the high-quality, printed color catalog, or by examining items in our gallery during the extensive preview hours, you can rely on detailed descriptions, photos and condition reports.

Selkirk guarantees you a competitive bidding system whether you are able to visit our downtown St. Louis gallery in the historic 555 Washington Avenue and bid in-house, or you need to bid remotely from the convenience of your home, office or favorite vacation spot. Be assured that  Selkirk absentee, phone and internet bidding systems are organized and simple to use.

Post-auction, clients are invited to pick-up purchased items at our auction location during regular business hours or have items shipped by a third-party shipping or a freight company of your choosing. We offer a list of reliable shippers and movers who are expected to maintain the level of customer service and satisfaction we strive to achieve.

How Do I Bid?

Bidding is the opportunity to pursue your passion. Auction bidding is fast-paced, lively and, ultimately, a lot of fun. Once you browse a catalog and identify items of interest, simply contact our office for a detailed condition report, and you are almost ready to bid.

If you are already registered with Selkirk, just login here and get started.

However, if this is your first auction with Selkirk, the next step is to register & become one of Selkirk's valued clients. Your registration on our website enables you to place absentee bids, send lot inquiries, and/or track items of specific interest.

Once you receive a confirmation email (within 2 working days), your account is active and you may then leave absentee bids on our website. Absentee bids must be placed with this service a minimum of 48 hours prior to sale. Make sure to read the complete Terms & Conditions

  • If you wish to place a bid during the 48 hours prior to an auction, you must contact Selkirk's gallery staff directly at 314.696.9041.
