This is a Part-time opportunity with 16 – 24 hours/week offering an hourly wage will be based on experience.
Required Qualifications:
2 years experience in product photography
2 years experience within a studio environment
Experience with and own a DSLR Camera
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suites
Digital file management and organization
Own a Macintosh computer, preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to workflow changes quickly
Self-motivated
Comfortable standing for extended periods of time. Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
Full Description:
As Assistant Product Photographer you will be working closely with the head photographer within a studio environment to capture images of a wide range of auction objects including fine art, antiques, jewelry, furniture, decorative items, and rugs. In this position you will be expected to move objects, as needed, to set them up to be photographed, appropriately set up lighting, and photograph objects. You will also work within Photoshop to edit images for product advertising and maintain the organization of digital files for easy upload to Selkirk’s inventory database. It is essential that you have the ability to adjust to feedback, possess self-motivation, meticulous in handling objects, and have a keen eye for detail. You will be working in a fast-paced environment assisting the head photographer to meet deadlines. Maintaining brand consistency and quality of work product is key.
