Nuderscher, born in St. Louis in 1880, was an American illustrator, muralist, and painter of the American Impressionism style. He had an early interest in art taking classes in New York, Philadelphia, and Provincetown and at the St. Louis School of Fine Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. In 1904, Nuderscher first attracted the attention of the fine arts community when his painting of the Eads Bridge won first prize in the Artist's Guild Competition. Nuderscher paintings are in the collections of the Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum, the Missouri Governor's Mansion, the National Park Service Museum of Westward Expansion, the Museum of Art and Archaeology at the University of Missouri, the St. Louis Mercantile Library at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, the Arkansas Arts Center, and the Saint Louis University Museum of Art. Additionally he has painted murals all over the United States including in New York City, Atlanta, and San Francisco. Nuderscher is known as the last surviving artist of the Riverfront Art Colony in St. Louis, was a member of the National Society of Mural Painters, the St. Louis Artist Guild (where he won 10 first prizes), was president of the Independent Artists of St. Louis, and was the state chairman of the American Artists Professional League. His impactful role as a leader in the Missouri art community led to him being known as "dean of St. Louis artists."

Shipment is the full responsibility of the buyer. Selkirk will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or otherwise responsible for any items left in Selkirk's possession fifteen (15) days after the sale. If arrangements for shipping have not been made and communicated within thirty (30) days, Selkirk reserves the right, at this time, to charge a storage fee of $10 per lot per day for furniture and large format items and $5 per lot per day for all other items, and within sixty (60) days, at its own discretion, sell any items left on the premises. Accumulated fees resulting from storage and insurance cost will be taken out of any proceeds.

Objects that contain materials of endangered or protected species may be subject to regulations disallowing export and import into other states or countries. It is the buyer's responsibility to be aware of all applicable laws and regulations and to obtain any required export or import licenses or certificates and any other required documentation.
