GEORGE R. CARON (X2), THEODORE VAN KIRK AND MITSUO FUCHIDA SIGNATURES
In four frames. Caron and Van Kirk were members of the Enola Gay crew that delivered the atomic bomb to Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. George was the Tail Gunner and Theodore was the Navigator during this historic flight over Hiroshima, Japan, that helped to end the war in the Pacific during World War II. In one frame Caron signed in blue ink on a 3" by 5" card with his duties stamped on that same card in black ink, framed with an envelope addressed to the recipient dated May of 1993 with Caron's return address in Colorado upper left. Another signature of Caron's is on a reconnaissance photograph of Hiroshima used to plan the atomic attack. Both signed Caron items with COA from EAC Gallery. Van Kirk is signed on a white card with his radio message after dropping the bomb of "Clear Cut. Successful in all respects. Visible effects greater than Alamogordo. Conditions normal in the airplane following delivery. Proceeding to base."

Together with Mitsuo Fuchida signed pamphlet of "From Pearl Harbor To Calvary" for the Capt. Fuchida Evangelistic Association. Fuchida was a Japanese captain in the Japanese Navy and bomber aviator in the Japanese Navy during World War II, best known for leading the first wave of air attacks on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Shipping

Shipment is the full responsibility of the buyer. Selkirk will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or otherwise responsible for any items left in Selkirk's possession fifteen (15) days after the sale. If arrangements for shipping have not been made and communicated within thirty (30) days, Selkirk reserves the right, at this time, to charge a storage fee of $10 per lot per day for furniture and large format items and $5 per lot per day for all other items, and within sixty (60) days, at its own discretion, sell any items left on the premises. Accumulated fees resulting from storage and insurance cost will be taken out of any proceeds.

Objects that contain materials of endangered or protected species may be subject to regulations disallowing export and import into other states or countries. It is the buyer's responsibility to be aware of all applicable laws and regulations and to obtain any required export or import licenses or certificates and any other required documentation.
