American, 21st century, wood. The tall table surface with a live edge lacquered wood segment of unique custom designed and made from a Bay Laurel Tree sourced from California and Missouri Cherry wood frame, signed/branded and dated under table Martin Edward Goebel 9-28-2012 Saint Louis USA - Goebel & Co. Furniture. Accompanied by two "Cruz" bar stools, signed M. Goebel and dated 3-15-13.

April 2023 Goebel debuted the Kindred Heirloom Collection, his first furniture and home goods brand for the consumer market. This one of a kind table was made early in Goebel's career, with only four custom items hand made per year. This table can be used as a Dinette, Pub Table or Desk.

St. Louis-native Martin Goebel built his reputation designing furniture for clients that include Nike Inc., famed French architect Philippe Starck, and High Chieftainess Malembeka, the Tribal Queen of Zambia. Martin Goebel is a master craftsman trained by James Krenov (studio furniture legend) and Rosanne Somerson (RISD former president retired). He is an industry leader in digital design, automated manufacturing, and integration into the furniture industry. Martin personally makes up to four pieces a year. He has operated within product development since 2002, holds an MFA, Furniture Design, Rhode Island School of Design, a BFA, Studio Arts, University of Missouri and a Certificate of Fine Furniture, College of the Redwoods.

Shipping

Shipment is the full responsibility of the buyer. Selkirk will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or otherwise responsible for any items left in Selkirk's possession fifteen (15) days after the sale. If arrangements for shipping have not been made and communicated within thirty (30) days, Selkirk reserves the right, at this time, to charge a storage fee of $10 per lot per day for furniture and large format items and $5 per lot per day for all other items, and within sixty (60) days, at its own discretion, sell any items left on the premises. Accumulated fees resulting from storage and insurance cost will be taken out of any proceeds.

Objects that contain materials of endangered or protected species may be subject to regulations disallowing export and import into other states or countries. It is the buyer's responsibility to be aware of all applicable laws and regulations and to obtain any required export or import licenses or certificates and any other required documentation.
