Artist Bio: Robert H. Dick was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1943. He began his education at Central Missouri State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in education and a Masters in American history. He then went on to complete graduate work in French history and economics at the University of Missouri in Columbia. He has also completed work at Harvard, Yale, Columbia and at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France.

Robert is an accomplished artist in many different styles and mediums. These different styles include impressionism, abstractionism and realism. He uses bronze and wood to create many of his sculptures, oil and water color to paint, and has also created works using charcoal and pastels.

Robert has held exhibitions at the American Legacy Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri and at McCaughen and Burr Fine Arts in Webster Groves, Missouri. He is a member of the Salmagund Club of New York, the Pastel Society of the Southwest and the Greater St. Louis Archeological Society. He has also co-authored a book with friend Scott Kerr, An American Art Colony: The Art and Artists of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri 1930-1940.

Shipping

Shipment is the full responsibility of the buyer. Selkirk will not be responsible for any loss, damage, theft, or otherwise responsible for any items left in Selkirk's possession fifteen (15) days after the sale. If arrangements for shipping have not been made and communicated within thirty (30) days, Selkirk reserves the right, at this time, to charge a storage fee of $10 per lot per day for furniture and large format items and $5 per lot per day for all other items, and within sixty (60) days, at its own discretion, sell any items left on the premises. Accumulated fees resulting from storage and insurance cost will be taken out of any proceeds.

Objects that contain materials of endangered or protected species may be subject to regulations disallowing export and import into other states or countries. It is the buyer's responsibility to be aware of all applicable laws and regulations and to obtain any required export or import licenses or certificates and any other required documentation.
